If you want to protect your used vehicle beyond its standard warranty, but don't need the broad protection of our Gold or Platinum VSAs, Powertrain plan may be for you.

How it works
Vehicle Eligibility4
Vehicle eligible if within current plus 9 model years and less than 150,000 miles. Used vehicle plans must be purchased at the time of used vehicle sale ONLY.
Roadside Assistance5
Coverage is effective throughout the life of the Agreement, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year within the continental US and Canada. Includes towing, flat tire, lockout, jump start and fuel delivery services (up to 3 gallons, excluding Fuel Cell and Electric vehicles).
Substitute Transportation6
Up to $50 per day for a maximum of 5 days per occurrence. Requires prior approval from TFS.
Benefits: Travel Protection Lodging and Meals6
Up to $100 per day for lodging and meals if you're more than 150 miles from home. Call us at 1-800-228-8559 prior to incurring expenses to obtain approvals. Maximum of 5 days over the life of your agreement.
Deductible Options7
$0 or $100 disappearing deductible per eligible repair visit.
Transferability
One-time, no-cost transferability from original owner is available. Between private parties only. Excludes dealers.
Cancellation
You can cancel your VSA within 30 days for a full refund, less a $50 processing fee. Pro-rata refund is applied after 30 days or if claim is paid. Please see your dealer for state-specific cancellation policies.
Coverage is subject to exclusions and limitations set forth in the Vehicle Service Agreement. Note: VSAs are optional, cancellable (see terms of Agreement) and not required to obtain credit. The benefits and covered operations stated here are subject to change or may vary slightly based upon the purchase date of the Agreement.
4Time and mileage coverage periods are measured from the time of used vehicle purchase or lease. Coverage expires upon reaching the maximum time or mileage of the coverage period selected, whichever occurs first. Ineligible vehicles include taxis, shuttle, commuter, municipal, professional, medical, emergency or police vehicles, salvage vehicles, all vehicles used or to be used for competitive driving or racing, vehicles used or to be used for plowing snow or towing a trailer in a manner exceeding manufacturer's recommendations, and all vehicles to be held by the purchaser or lessee for hire to the public or for hire to any persons not affiliated with the vehicle purchaser or lessee.

6Available if vehicle is inoperable due to the mechanical failure of a covered component. Valid receipts will be required for reimbursement.
7Plans feature $0 or $100 deductible options. Deductible applies to each eligible repair visit. The deductible is the dollar amount you pay for authorized claims related to a single repair visit. If the Disappearing Deductible option is selected and the selling dealer of the VSA performs covered repairs, the $100 deductible will be waived. Otherwise the full deductible amount applies.

Step 1
BEFORE having any covered repairs made, you or your dealer repair facility must contact TFS at 1-800-228-8559
Monday - Friday 7am - 7pm Central Time
Saturday 8am - 1pm Central Time
If your vehicle becomes inoperable outside of our business hours, you may proceed with necessary repairs, but please note that all other terms and conditions on your VSA Agreement will apply. It is your responsibility to contact TFS at the number listed on the next available business day for claim authorization.
TIP Store the TFS phone number in your phone so it's easier to get claim authorization when needed.
Step 2
Present your Vehicle Service Agreement to your repair facility/dealer when requesting repairs on your vehicle.
Step 3
Make sure to save any receipts throughout your vehicle repair process, including lodging or dining receipts. Please refer to your Agreement for valid repairs and expenses. Should you need to seek reimbursement from TFS, you will need to mail receipts to:

Step 4
Upon completion of covered repairs, anticipate to pay your deductible (if applicable), plus any charges for non-covered repairs or services.
TIP Keep a file with your repair orders, copy of receipts and all other service-related documents for future reference.
